Eziline attended Industry Feedback Session organised by PSEB – the agenda is to discuss how to attract outsourcing business towards Pakistan to improve perception of Pakistan through effective participation in the International Trade Fairs and to discuss how to enhance participation of Pakistan’s IT sector in International Events and improve perception of Pakistan through effective participation in International Trade Fairs.
PSEB Industry Feedback Session was held on 8th August, 2018 (Wednesday) at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad between 2-5 P.M to discuss and substantially enhance participation of Pakistan’s IT Sector at the following International Trade Fairs:
-GiTEX Dubai, October 2018, GITEX Dubai is the third largest technology event in the world; showcasing the global technology and innovations that are converging sectors and industries; serving the Middle Eastern, African and South Asian markets.
-MWC Spain, February 2019, Mobile World Congress is an annual exhibition intended and considered to be the largest in the world for the mobile industry. In 2017, Mobile World Congress hosted more than 108,000 attendees from across the globe with 2300 companies
-CeBIT Europe, June 2019, CeBIT Hannover is the world’s largest trade fair for the ICT Industry. German Software and IT Services market size was estimated at 62 billion euros in 2016 making Germany the single largest software market in Europe.
The Industry Feedback Sessions would cover the main areas:
1. Solicit suggestions from IT company participants to make the event a success in terms of attracting outsourcing business towards Pakistan and to improve perception of Pakistan through effective participation in the aforementioned trade fairs.
2. PSEB’s offer of financial subsidy to PSEB member IT companies to exhibit at the above mentioned International Exhibitions.
3. Discuss ways and means to increase the number of applications submitted by Companies to PSEB for exhibiting at the aforementioned events.
4. Apprise the attendees on participation in local events.
