2022 was a year of signatures. At home Eziline signed MoUs with UET Mardan in June, Nest City in October, the Rawalpindi Bar (for a mobile application for lawyers) and Callex call centre in November, and RCSTSI in December. In Europe, a business tour in the autumn took in Belgium, Milan and Venice, where EZIERP was presented as a SaaS cloud ERP, and produced joint ventures with IT companies in Switzerland and the Netherlands and multiple projects signed in Italy. And in November, ChatGPT came out.
Partnerships
The MoUs connected the company to universities, professional bodies and businesses that needed software and could bring Eziline students, users and distribution. The Rawalpindi Bar app is a good example: a professional body with a large membership and a clear need. The European joint ventures turned the 2019 contacts into structured partnerships, with local partners selling and supporting Eziline products in their markets.
EZIERP as SaaS
Presenting EZIERP in Venice as a cloud-hosted, subscription product was the public version of a change that had been happening for a while: the ERP that began as a configured project in 2015 was now multi-tenant, hosted by Eziline and sold per month. The same move was underway for the POS and LMS products.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT's launch at the end of November changed every conversation about software overnight. Within weeks clients were asking whether their systems could answer questions in plain language, and the team was experimenting with large language models for support replies, document drafting and reporting. The AI assistant products that followed in 2025 trace directly back to those first experiments.
- 14th anniversary in February; Open houses at COMSATS and Foundation University in June.
- Future Summit in Oslo in September; the Belgium, Milan and Venice tour in October.
- Annual dinner in December, and a post on the top technology trends in Pakistan for the year.
Looking ahead
ChatGPT reset the priorities. The 2023 plan was to understand what large language models could reliably do inside business software and to build the first features that used them, starting with support replies, summaries and question answering over a client's own data. The design principle, settled early, was that answers must come from the system's real records rather than from the model's memory. The year also opened with a stand booked at LEAP in Riyadh in February and, as it turned out, with the presidential award. The Guides category on this site was to be expanded for the students and freelancers that Ezitech trains, and the European joint ventures were to start selling EZIERP in their markets.
